Crown duels!
Event number 11 in the Beech House Dental Practice Time Trial League was the 2-lap circuit from Milby to Cundall, Norton-le-Clay and back.
The weather was dry, warm with a light breeze coming from the southwest. Great conditions for some speedy times.
13 riders from Harrogate Nova, Moonglu and Harrogate Tri Club set off at 1-minute intervals.
Ben Pease (Moonglu) was 1st on a time trial bike in a new course record of 38:03. With the best 7 times counting, Ben has now secured his crown as winner of the 2024 TT League, even with 3 events remaining. Well done Ben!
In 2nd place was Duncan Mullier (Nova) on a time trial bike in 41:11 with Rob Senior (Nova) and Tom Rowlay (Nova) both on road bikes, tying for 3rd in a time of 42:42. Coincidently, there was also a duel for 5th place, with Steve Clarkson (Nova) tying with James Boddy (Moonglu) on time trial bikes, in a time of 44:47.
Joanne Wallace (Moonglu) was 1st lady in solid time of 53:06, on a road bike.
Unfortunately, Walter Wilkinson was a DNF, puncturing on lap 2.
Thanks as ever to the support team: Vaughan & Margaret Carswell; Roger Clarke; Mike Hudson; Dave Mann and Andrew Wild.
