Well done to Beldon!

Event number 12 in the Beech House Dental Practice Time Trial League was the V212, taking place on the A168 from Arkendale lane end down to Walshford roundabout and back.

With only 2 events remaining in the league, this was a chance for riders to produce a PB on this well-known 10-mile course.

The weather was warm, dry with a moderate wind coming from the southwest.

22 riders signed on from Harrogate Nova, Moonglu and Harrogate Tri Club.

Team Bottrill coach, Simon Beldon (Nova) was 1st male rider in a super time of 21:26 on TT bike. In 2nd place was Tom Ward (Moonglu) in a time of 22:03 on a TT bike with Duncan Mullier (Nova) 3rd in 22:17. Rob Senior continues to impress, breaking the vet’s road bike record in 23:05 and placing 4th overall.

Fastest lady was Tilly Bland (Moonglu) in 26:46 on TT bike. Donna Riddler (Moonglu) was 2nd in 27:24 on a road bike with Joanne Wallace (Moonglu) 3rd in 29:22, also on a road bike.

Thanks to Margaret and Vaughan Caswell, Warren Considine and Mark Turnock for helping to make the event happened on the night.

Next week’s event is the 1-mile hill climb up Darley Head. No doubt we will see the return of the youngsters, after a season of racing.
