Ben strikes again!

Event number 5 in the Beech House Dental Practice Time Trial League was a 15-mile TT on the A168. The course starts from Boroughbridge, heading south to the first Walshford roundabout where riders return north to Boroughbridge.

The weather had threatened rain but remained dry for the event. The wind was strong and blustery from the west.

21 riders signed on from Harrogate Nova, Moonglu and Harrogate Tri Club. There was almost an even split between TT and road bikes.

Ben Pease (Moonglu) was first male in a storming time of 31:01, back on his TT bike for the first time in the 2024 League – he won event 2 on a road bike. Duncan Mullier (Nova) took 2nd on a TT bike in a time of 33:37 with Roger Bromiley (Nova) 3rd on a TT bike in 35:03. Rob Senior (Nova) was 4th and 1st road bike in 35:11.

In the Ladies, Tilly Bland (Moonglu) was 1st lady in 42:04 on a TT bike with Joanne Wallace (Moonglu) 2nd in 42:22 on a road bike and Julia Thomson (HTC) 3rd in 49:39 on a road bike.

A special thanks goes to Margaret and Vaughan Caswell, Warren Considine, David Sharples and Greg Ketteringham who helped make the event happen.

The next event is the hilly 19m TT on 12th June, starting in Ripley.
